Compañía teatral estadounidense.

Fue fundada en 1915 por un grupo de actores y dramaturgos en Provincetown, Mass., con la intención de experimentar e incentivar la creación de nuevas propuestas teatrales. Entre sus primeras producciones, las que solían ser presentadas en el hogar de algún miembro, se cuenta la primera obra de uno de sus fundadores, Eugene O'Neill, con la cual inició su carrera. En 1916 la compañía se mudó a Greenwich Village en Nueva York, donde estrenaron obras que O'Neill iba creando, así como piezas de Edna St. Vincent Millay, Susan Glaspell, Paul Green y de numerosos otros dramaturgos. La compañía se disolvió después del derrumbe económico de 1929; sin embargo, la sala Provincetown Playhouse ha seguido activa en forma discontinua hasta el s. XXI.
